“In two words: im possible.”
Samuel Goldwyn was a Polish-born American film producer. He was best known for being the founding contributor and executive of several motion picture studios in Hollywood, including MGM (Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer). Although he was ousted from MGM before the merger, it kept his name though he had nothing to do with the company. Some of his films that were Oscar nominated for best picture include: Arrowsmith (1931), Dodsworth (1936), Dead End (1937), Wuthering Heights (1939), and The Little Foxes (1941).
I’m possible.
I truly believe I hold within me all the mysteries of the universe. I am made of stardust.
In my brighter and stronger moments, I flow gracefully through my life as if I believe this is true. I release my worries and fears and rise to the occasions. I am wise and patient and trust that in this moment, all things are as they are meant to be.
As much as I am made of stardust though, I am a child of the Earth. The truth of gravity holds me down and it’s as if I never knew how to fly at all. My cells contain the memories of the decisions and traumas of my ancestors and so I flinch and shy away from things that have never even chased me. Although I am most assuredly chased by plenty down here. There is so much death; from sickness, poison, weapons.
Impossible
Some days it seems impossible to feel safe. To know peace. Most of the time is seems impossible that we will learn how to treat each other kindly as fellow human beings. It seems impossible that we could step away from our judgements about how everyone else should be acting – our friends, our family, strangers.
Impossible. And yet, in two words, I’m possible.
Light Is Contagious
And if I’m possible, then there is hope for us all. Because light is contagious. And healing and illuminating. In my brighter moments when I am brave and honest and vulnerable, I see how sometimes it connects with someone else at just the right moment and makes them brave and honest and vulnerable. And so on. And so on. And so on.
Light spreads. All of us in our brighter moments are not just shining the beautiful truth of who we are (which is stunning and amazing, yes, you are stunning and amazing), we are spreading light. And in this Earth reality, light is healing and warming and comforting. Light is kind. Light is peace. Nothing is impossible in a realm of light.
So, if you are bright or if you are small; if you have fear or if you need peace, nothing is impossible; let’s be light and let’s be friends~
